An independent residential care resource providing therapeutic help to children and young people with complex emotional, behavioural and mental health problems. Meeting Individual Needs Typically, young people placed with us have been marginalised and conventional services have struggled to meet their complex needs. Our primary aim is to provide safe, educational and therapeutic needs promote personal responsibility, thoughtfully-created living environments that meet individual developmental, supportive, autonomy and independence and safeguard the young person and the community from harm. Positive Pathways is committed to providing high-quality care in home-like environments maintained to the highest standards, with maximum opportunity for normalizing experiences and re-integration into the wider community. Our young people regularly take part in various leisure and cultural pursuits, horse riding, ice-skating, climbing, and activities such as bowling, and cinemas, theatres, including trips to local restaurants, and indoor skiing. All the homes are situated on normal residential roads close to local shopping and leisure facilities in diverse, multicultural, urban areas close to mainstream schools and colleges with easy access by car and public transport. We also provide accommodation and support in trainer flats and private tenancies to older young people as part of our Pathways to Independence Project. We operate several Ofsted-registered children's homes situated within the thriving city of Birmingham. Many of the young people placed with us present with complex emotional, and learning problems, mental health, behavioural, often in the context of family difficulties. Positive Pathways provides vulnerable and challenging children and young people with the best possible quality of life in community residential settings.
